Developed and published under the official 007 license, the mobile game had been launched in September 2015 to tie-in with the release of the latest James Bond film “Spectre”. Sadly, the game flopped with the fan community and mobile gamers. Apart from continuous glitches users experienced on their devices, the energy-based game earned overall bad reviews. The verdicts were in fact appauling to say the least.

Upon being contacted by Spanish fanclub Archivo 007, John Carlo of Glu mobile answered the following:

“With deep sorrow we have taken the decision to remove James Bond: World of Espionage from our servers as of December 20, 2016. Purchases for the application have already been deactivated and the game no longer accepts new users. Nor can it be downloaded any more.

We would like to express our gratitude to all the players who have participated, especially the small but enthusiastic group of fans who have supported the game up to this point.”
