BTS with stunt pilot Chuck Aaron

A new video, recently released on the Red Bull website, takes us back Behind The Scenes of the Mexico City shoot of “Spectre”. Stunt pilot Chuck Aaron explains why this is probably the coolest stunt work ever.

RedBull.com: What was the experience of working on a Bond film like?

Chuck Aaron: It was phenomenal, it was unbelievable, it was totally awesome — it doesn’t get any better than this! I mean, it’s Bond — it is James Bond, and it is Mexico City! What else would you expect? And the citizens of Mexico City were very kind to me!

Did you do anything for filming that you’d never done with a helicopter before?

Yes, it required all of my skills and talents to their limits. We were doing very difficult and radical maneuvers using maximum power with pitch, roll and yaw, right above thousands of people that were having a street party. We were flying down the streets and between buildings, right in downtown Mexico City in the middle of Zócalo Square. All the while, I had a fight scene on board with two people trying to kill each other. It had my full attention!
